Palangka Raya University, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 held a Socialization of New Student Admission Selection (SNPMB) in 2023. The socialization was held in the Rahan Hall, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building of Palangka Raya University, attended by SMA / SMK in Palangka Raya City consisting of Principals / Vice Principals and XII grade students.
The Head of the Palangka Raya University Promotion Team, Dr. H. Slamet Winaryo, M.Si, in his introduction said that the Socialization was held with the aim that schools in Central Kalimantan, especially in class XII students, could know and understand the process of implementing SNPMB in 2023 consisting of National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) as well as Independent selection well, so that they could follow the SNPMB stages well, and on the other hand students could also get to know and love UPR as one of the oldest and largest PTNs in Central Kalimantan, which currently has Excellent and Excellent Accreditation. Dr. H. Slamet Winaryo, M.Si also explained that the quality of a region will always be measured by the quality of its human resources, to improve this is largely determined by the gross participation rate of higher education in Central Kalimantan, namely students who graduated from SMA / SMK / MA who continued their education in college.
Rector of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S, said that the implementation of SNMPB in 2023 is different from the previous year, where this year the SNPMB implementation process is stipulated in Permendikbudristek Number 48 of 2022 related to the new student admission process and Permendikbudristek Number 345 of 2022 related to Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP). The Rector also added some information related to UPR which currently has 8 Faculties and 1 Postgraduate Program, has 43 Undergraduate Study Programs (S1), 12 Master Programs (S2) and 1 Doctoral Program (S3) with the support of 876 educators (Lecturers).
As it is known that the 2023 SNPMB process has been running on :
1. SNBP with a registration period of February 14-28, 2023 with the Announcement of Results scheduled for March 28, 2023.
2. SNBT with registration period March 23-April 14, 2023, UTBK Wave 1: May 08-May 14, 2023, UTBK Wave 2: May 22-May 28, 2023, SNBT result announcement on June 20, 2023.
