Palangka Raya University through the University Senate on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Rahan Hall, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building of Palangka Raya University inaugurated 2 professors of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the field of Natural Resource Economics, Prof. Dr. Irawan, S.E., M.Si and the Faculty of Agriculture in the field of Fishery Products Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Petrus S. Senas, M.P. The inauguration was conducted directly by the Rector of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S. Attending the inauguration ceremony were:

Expert Staff of the Governor for Government, Law and Politics, Ir. Herson B. Aden, M.Si, Head of Bappedalitbang of Central Kalimantan Province, Drs. H. Kaspinoor, S.E., M.M, Head of DJPB of Central Kalimantan Province, Hari Utomo, S.E., M.M, Head of Finance of Central Kalimantan Police, Hennry Budiman, S.Sos., M.M, Member of Central Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, Lohing Simon and Rector of UPR for the period 2018-2022, Dr. Andrie Elia, S.E., M.Si. With the inauguration of 2 professors, currently Palangka Raya University has a total of 25 professors.

Rector of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S in his speech after inaugurating said that with the inauguration of 2 new professors, UPR has additional human resources whose capacity has been tested. On the other hand, the Rector added that the role of Professors is currently very important as a pioneer of innovation through education, research and service and great work to advance Palangka Raya University to face development challenges in the world of education, especially with the rapid changes in technology and artificial intelligence.
