Palangka Raya University Organizes Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) in 2023
Palangka Raya University, Monday, August 14, 2023 held the opening of the Introduction of New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) activities for new students of the 2023 batch. The PKKMB activity at Palangka Raya University raised the theme “Strengthening Superior Character to Achieve Achievements Through MBKM and Resilient in Facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0”. The event was held in Hybrid (online and offline) which was attended by university-level leadership elements and faculty-level leadership elements and students who attended 8 people from each of the 8 faculty representatives so that the total number of participants was 80 participants held in the Rahan Hall 2nd Floor of the Palangka Raya University Rectorate Building, while the remaining participants who could not attend directly on the spot followed the activities online through Zoom Meeting and YouTube Student Affairs UPR.
The Chairperson of the UPR PKKMB Committee in 2023, Dr. Syamsuri, M.Si, reported that PKKMB UPR was held from August 14-15, 2023 based on the Guidelines for the Introduction of Campus Life for New Students, Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia and outlined in the Decree of the Chancellor of Palangka Raya University Number: 5019 / UN24 / KM / 2023 concerning the composition of the committee for the implementation of campus life introduction activities for new students (PKKMB) University of Palangka Raya in 2023. The next PKKMB will be held at the faculty level on August 16-17, 2023. In 2023, new students who have been accepted at Palangka Raya University through several selection channels namely SNBP, SNBT, SMMPTN, and SM-UPR amounted to 3,619 New Students, of which 3,378 were recorded as participating in PKKMB UPR activities in 2023.
The Chairperson of the UPR PKKMB Committee in 2023 also added that providing debriefing to new students so that they can more quickly adapt to the campus environment and the education system at the University of Palangka Raya which is Superior and Characterful.
