Palangka Raya University on Thursday, August 31, 2023 held an Open Session of the Palangka Raya University Senate with the agenda of Graduation of Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programs for the August period of 2023, located in Palangka Hall, Palangka Raya University was opened by the Chairperson of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Eddy Lion, M.Pd, and then the graduation ceremony was led directly by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S.
The graduation participants for the August 2023 period totaled 1,262 graduates with details: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education 337 graduates, Faculty of Economics and Business 241 graduates and 9 graduates, Faculty of Agriculture 220 graduates, Faculty of Engineering 144 graduates, Faculty of Law 74 graduates and 11 graduates, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 148 graduates, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences 16 graduates, Postgraduate Masters Program 45 graduates, and Doctoral Program 5 graduates. Of the 1,262 graduates, 238 graduated with honors, a significant increase compared to the April 2023 graduation ceremony.
Rector of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S, to the parents, guardians, and families of graduates, congratulating the success of your children or husband or wife. With the academic degree that has been successfully carried and with the competencies achieved, it is hoped that every graduate of Palangka Raya University can practice the knowledge they have, pursue a career and return to the midst of society, and make the best contribution to the nation and state. The Rector of UPR also added that success, besides being determined by academic ability, is also determined by maturity, attitude, independence, and hard work.
To the graduates and graduates, the Rector of UPR also said that Palangka Raya University continues to strive to carry out its commitment to improve internally, one of the efforts made in terms of opening 4 new study programs, namely: Doctor of Management, Master of Accounting, Medical Laboratory Technology and Pharmacy in the Undergraduate Program (S1) and 1 Study Program that is still waiting for an official decree from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, namely Master of Forestry. With the opening of these new study programs, it is hoped that Palangka Raya University can continue to provide services to continue to provide human resources who are ready to fill various lines of the labor market.
