University of Palangka Raya (UPR) Accepts 1,699 New Student Candidates through the UTBK-SNBT Pathway in 2023

Palangka Raya University (UPR) accepted 1,699 new student candidates (camaba) for undergraduate programs through the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) in 2023 which was announced on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Prospective students admitted to UPR through SNBT are Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) participants held by the UTBK Central Committee of Palangka Raya University through 2 waves, wave I on May 8-14, 2023 and wave II on May 22-28, 2023.

Rector of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S, accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Natalina Asi, M.A, said that of the 1,699 students accepted at Palangka Raya University through the SNBT pathway, 1,182 of them came from high schools in Central Kalimantan Province, where almost 50% or around 811 students were recorded as owners of the Indonesia Smart-College Card (KIP-K). “Congratulations on the graduation of new student candidates, welcome to join and pursue education and knit dreams with Palangka Raya University”.

The 1,699 candidates accepted by UPR are spread over the Faculty of Economics and Business 388 people, Faculty of Law 140 people, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 202 people, Faculty of Medicine 41 people, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education 400 people, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences 52 people, Faculty of Agriculture 292 people and Faculty of Engineering 184 people. In the implementation of UTBK-SNBT at Palangka Raya University, there were 4 study programs with a high level of tightness, Medical Education was recorded as the tightest study program with a tightness of 5, 31% where this study program was also recorded as getting the highest score in the implementation of UTBK-SNBT at Palangka Raya University, namely with a score of 692.3 for the test results, followed by Software Engineering (Informatics Engineering) 8.64%, Mining Engineering 10.24% and State Administration Science 24.34%.

In addition to the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), UPR still opens acceptance of new student candidates through independent channels whose registration is still open until June 27, 2023, where further information can be accessed on the page: https://pmb.upr.ac.id/
