Palangka Raya University, through Plt. Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance, Drs. Darmae Nasir, M.Sc., M.A., Ph.D accompanied by the PIC Teaching Practitioner of Palangka Raya University, Dr. Ir. R. Rr. Sri Endang Agustina Rahayuningsih, M.P, was present at the Signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Directorate of Resources of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Higher Education Leaders which was followed by a Debriefing for the Teaching Practitioner Program Batch II of 2023. The activity of facilitating this Cooperation Agreement involved the University of Palangka Raya along with 245 tertiary institutions, both PTN as well as Private Higher Education and Academic Higher Education as well as Vocational Higher Education, taking place at the Horison Grand Serpong Hotel, Tangerang City, Banten Province on Monday 15 May 2023.
Director of Resources Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Mohammad Sofwan Effendi, M.Ed, hopes that the Teaching Practitioner program, which is a collaboration between practitioners and universities, will increase from year to year. This collaboration will produce quality university graduates. Teaching Practitioners is one of the Merdeka Campus transformation programs that connects students, practitioners, and lecturers through Collaboration Classes because the Teaching Practitioners Program provides opportunities for universities to collaborate with the world of work, especially in implementing practical and applicable learning. Through this PM program, it is hoped that students will gain practical knowledge and knowledge that is relevant to what is needed in the world of work from experienced practitioners from the world of bureaucrats, professionals and the industrial world.”
In the Teaching Practitioner Program Batch II in 2023, Palangka Raya University passed with 39 collaboration classes and will present 41 practitioners. Practitioners to teach in collaborative learning classes with 37 qualified lecturers (support lecturers and parterre lecturers) both offline and online at Palangka Raya University. A total of 37 lecturers (supporting lecturers and partner lecturers) from seven faculties also passed this program who will teach in collaboration with practitioners, namely the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and Faculty of Agriculture (FAPERTA).
The Teaching Practitioner Program is one of the programs organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in support of the Main Performance Indicators of Higher Education, especially IKU 4, namely teaching practitioners on campus and IKU 7, namely collaboration between campuses and the industrial world (DUDY).
